The Waterpark!

The waterpark is so awesome!!! I love it! There are water slides, wave pools, and kiddie areas. Today I went down the slides 10 TIMES!! (and counting!) I went with Marina one time, then Daddy, then all by myself the rest of the time! It is fun in the wave pool cuz' it makes it feel like you are really on a beach and the waves are HUMUNGUSS!!!! There is this little area attached to the wave pool where you can play basketball in the water! This place is like heaven to a kid! And you know those things where you go and there are mini slides attached to it and when the time comes the big bucket on top dumps and you get SOAKED? Well yeah they had one of those! That was cool! Well I will post more. Today is our last day! BOO-HOO!!!

We are here!

I know its a little late but, WE ARE HERE! Here is North Conway at the Red Jacket Inn. And yes, it does have a indoor waterpark! Last night we spent about 4 hours at the waterpark, got something to eat at the the restaurant in the hotel, then Daddy, Mina, and Will went back while me and Wendy relaxed in the room. This morning we went to the breakfast buffet, then went to the waterpark for about a hour, and then that leads us to right now. Right now I am waiting to take a shower cuz' we are going to leave, BOO-HOO!!! Then we are going to pick Beckett up at Meme and Pepe's, (maybe stop at Hart's Turkey Farm?) And then go home, relax, and see whats in store for tomorrow!

Wendy's Birthday!

Today is Wendy's birthday, and she is 37! Wow, so young for such a big age! Let me describe Wendy to you a little bit, she is nice, caring......oh what are those LAME words lets just cut to the chase she is mean, she makes us do our chores, she starves us, and is just cruel! I am just kidding she funny, talented, nice, caring, NOT CRUEL, and just plain CRAZY! But that is what I like about her! Happy Birthday Wendy a step-mom, mom, wife, and daughter, hope you have a good time in North Conway on the slides!!!!

North Conway

Today we are going to the Red Jacket Inn in North Conway. And guess what....... IT HAS A INDOOR WATERPARK!!!! That is the whole reason why I want to go! Beckett ufortunatley is not with us, he is at Meme and Pepe's house because he would be "too much work!" Ugh! Parents! I told then I would've taken him, but no they dumped him at Meme and Pepe's house! DARN! Maybe someday I will get my wish! Right now the adults are getting ready (well Wendy is anyways, Daddy is on his computer!) I hope you guys had a nice Thanksgiving! See yah later!

Being SICK!

I havent been sick for a long time, but......that doesnt mean forever.......on Friday I had a fever of 104.0 and I was BURNING UP! Last weekend it stayed above 100 degrees and added to that a very bad cough, chest pains, and trouble breathing. I dont know where I got this from, its like I got it out of the blue on Friday. Its weird cuz' it is really bad during the morning and night, but during the day I feel fine, with a couple of cough's here and there, I'm fine! Anyways, Thursday & Friday I got out of school early because if this, and there are rewards and punishments for this..... REWARDS: 1. You may get to miss a Social Studies test on Friday 2. You dont have to do as much school work 3. You get sit on the computer and post, posts. Now the PUNISHMENTS: 1. You have to have that awful medicine EVERY 4 hours (the Rite-Aid kind) 2. You throat is killing you and you can barely speak 3. You go to the doctors at 1:15! EEK!

So, today I am home because before Thanksgiving I really dont wanna give people my cold which I really dont enjoy and I know they wouldnt either! (I am so nice!) But I am going to the doctors today and hopefully it is not pneunomia or something bad! Maybe just the flu.

Soccer Time!!!!

Today I start Travel Soccer and I am on the U-12 team with all my friends!!!! This week I have soccer camp every day 4:00-7:00 until Friday, there are guys who come from England!!!!! My schedule is this:

My Birthday!!!!

It's my birthday and I am soooooo excited!!!!! I got from my mom $95 in gift cards to all different stores. I got from my dad, wendy, will, and beckett ROCK BAND and some headphones. I got from grandma and papagordo $50 to Itunes. I got from The Moores $30. And I got from Deb, Allen, and Jamie room posters, barettes, hair tyes, lip gloss and nail polish, 2 magazines, and a towel that says "Dream."

As you can tell I have had a pretty sweet day so far!!!!! And to add on to it I get more presents from my Nana, Nanny,Papa, Meme, Pepe,

Jill and Eric, and my friends. I think I will be pretty buisy this week!!!!

American Idol Concert!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh!!!!!! I found out that 1. I am going to the American Idol concert and 2. I am going to meet all of them!!!!!

I can't wait to see David Archuleta and Chekieze Ezie and of course David Cook!!!!! I am going to get my picture with them and all their auto graphs!!!!! My friend Morgan is coming to it will be so fun!!!!!

Lexy said there were alot of kids there, she was up from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. the next day!!!!

Good Luck Joelle!

Please wish Joelle luck tomorrow (Friday) at the audition showcase. She will be auditioning for Disney, Nickelodeon and Jive Records. I reminded Joelle that many kids only dream of presenting themselves to these people. She actually gets to live the dream.

Wayne Brady

Joelle is a huge fan of "Don't Forget the Lyrics" so she was psyched to meet Wayne Brady today. He gave a great motivational speech to the kids. The picture to the left shows Joelle (with the ponytail) getting his autograph.

FINALLY!

It has been a long two weeks. A great experience for Joelle and one that she will never forget. However, it is time to come home. We are anticipating home cooked meals, our own beds and seeing everyone!

WE LOVE YOU SIMON!!

Christie informed us that their dog, Simon, has died. He was nine years old and died unexpectedly. We are very sad. We've known Simon for 7 years and he became our friend as well. We will miss you Simon. Here's to many filet mignon's in heaven.

Joelle told me today that she "can't wait to go home". She clarified this by saying that she absolutely loves the camp but not Hollywood. I think we all miss the comforts of home and the QUIETNESS of it. We miss our family, friends, pets and neighbors. We look out our hotel window to a very, very large city. It is so much nicer to look out our windows at home and see trees, squirrels and the familiar faces of the Salemas. :) I guess it's just hard to be here "alone".

We officially turned into rednecks last night when we were forced to wash our clothes in the bathtub. Enough said.

Anyway, while we are savoring this experience, there really is no place like home.

Stage Combat Class......

Joelle took stage combat class today with Lorenzo. After watching the video, I'm sure you all agree that she is quite the tough cookie (ha ha). She is in for a pretty intense week as the preparation begins for the final showcase on Friday. More to come from Joelle tomorrow (she is pretty much asleep right now.......)

Another day in LA!

Hello everyone!!

So I'm sorry I haven't been writing anything but I am so tired at night! So I asked my mom to write for me at night. But tonight I am staying up to watch a tv show so I have some extra time.

I talked to Lorenzo on Sunday and guess what???? He remembered me! His three daughters are also in the camp and they remembered me too from last summer.

We have a special guest coming to camp tomorrow. I don't know who it is yet but I will tell you when I write next time. I have to do a practice audition tomorrow. I have to say why orange juice is so good for you. I'm meeting a lot of nice people and having so much fun. It's hard sometimes but I know it will be worth it someday!

Isn't it cool that we saw Carson and Mandy? We also saw the first season winner from So You Think You Can Dance. It is so neat to see people that we see on tv in real life. But I guess I'm not the only person who gets excited. The stars homes tours are sold out everyday!!! A lot of people are curious just like me!

Camp Electric Youth Update.......

Joelle has completed her third day of camp. She really is enjoying herself. Her favorite class so far is dance. She is learning a routine to a High School Musical song. She is trying her best to sing her way through a cold. Thankfully, she is almost over it. We have decided together that she will sing "I'll Stand By You" next Friday in front of the talent scouts/agents. She will sing on stage with a microphone and actual music. Very exciting as I know she will do us all proud. She is also working on a one minute monologue to perform that same day. She is getting a ton of help, advice and constructive criticism from all the teachers involved. I will attend a seminar on Friday hosted by Debbie's mother. Marina is really looking forward to it....not. Thank God for Nintendo DS's. The seminar is all about the "business". Not sure how much this pertains to me but I guess you never know. Funny story and one that shows just how snobby some of these "stage moms" can be: Marina and I hop into a cab everyday at 12:45 to go pick Joelle up. The cab pulls up to the acting studio and waits while Marina and I go in to sign Joelle out. So today, our bright green cab pulls up to the studio. Marina and I step out and a woman looks at the cab and says "oh my" in this appalled manner. Guess our pretty ride didn't compare to her Mercedes. Puh-leaze.

First official celebrity sightings......

While we were by the pool today, we saw Carson Kressley (Queer Eye For the Straight Guy) and Mandy Moore (choreographer on one of our favorite shows: So You Think You Can Dance). Pretty cool because we certainly didn't expect to see them.

Found!!!

Mommy and I went to In-Out Burger today. It was really, really good. The french fries were super good. Are you jealous yet? (I'm talking to you Auntie Laurie).

We think we now own stock......

We have eaten here for the past four nights. Joelle and Marina LOVE this place and get the same thing everytime......Joelle - chicken with broccoli and edamame......Marina - cheese pizza and edamame. They always end their dinner with ice cream sundaes. Hey, I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Mina Bug....

Did I happen to mention that Mina is a pretty special kid too? After all, she is on this journey with us. She's all amped up tonight. Debbie Gibson smiled at her and rubbed her head! Now Marina says she doesn't want to wash her hair. EEWWW!

Debbie the Great!

I am totally impressed. This camp is going to be AWESOME for Joelle. There is so much more to this than I thought. So many professionals from so many different fields. Joelle will learn theater dance, will create a demo CD, learn to present herself in front of a camera (video and still), learn acting from one of the best...Howard Fine. We met Debbie's mother and Lorenzo Lamas was even there. There will be a security guard outside of the studio at all times and you have to present your ID in order to pick your child up. Very well thought out and structured. When we finally spoke to Debbie personally, I found her to be the most down to earth and genuine person. Tomorrow is the big day for Joelle. 8am call time (Mina doesn't like this part of it). I am so proud of my little big girl. When I looked around the room and realized where we were, I got a little choked up. We small town people are here in Hollywood all because of a girl with a big voice, big dreams and big personality.

Our first smoggy day so far...........

So, there it is.....the famous Hollywood sign. Isn't it beautiful in all its smog?

We woke up way too early this morning and headed out to Mel's diner for breakfast. Then we had some time by the pool which was hot but nice. Then, Laurie, I saw it......the In-n-Out Burger bag. How dare those people come to the pool with that bag of burgers? I decided right then and there we would go there for lunch. BUT............as we walked along, there were different "characters" (Batman, Transformers, Elvis) EVERYWHERE. Joelle was totally overwhelmed and didn't want to walk any more. Understanding, especially being so tired and hot. Nonetheless, we ended up eating at French Crepe (?). It was yummy and character-free. So, here we are back at our room at Joelle and Marina's request. They wanted to "rest". I guess their idea of rest is karate chopping each other, jumping on the beds and doing anything but rest. Oh well.....no rest for the weary. Orientation tonight at 5:30.....

Well, we made it! Pretty smooth sailing (um, flying) all the way. It is just about 3 in the morning - Maine time - and Joelle and I are wide awake. Mina has other ideas, however. I always knew she was a pretty smart kid. Good night.

It is 1:00 right now I am just watching TV just waiting for my Nanny and Papa to get here. At 3:00 they are going to pick us up and drop us off at the airport. Our flight is at 6:30 (you are probably wondering why we are leaving at 3:00 and our flight is 6:30.) Well 1. WE HAVE TO DRIVE THERE 2. WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH SECURITY 3.
